OKBET OFC Football – The Tahiti season starts off with a bang thanks to Ten from Tinirauari in Oceania Competition
This week’s competitions wrap-up includes league games in Tahiti, a match between the leaders in New Zealand, and games from the Solomon Islands and New Caledonia.
This weekend, the first games of Tahiti’s Ligue 1 kicked off with a bang. Both AS Dragon and star striker Roonui Tinirauarii scored early goals.
Last season, Dragon came in second to AS Pirae after a very exciting last day, and Teaonui Tehau of AS Venus won the Golden Boot over Tinirauarii.
But on the first day, when Dragon beat AS Excelsior 11-0, he scored a crazy 10 goals.
The defending champions, Pirae, beat AS Tamarii Temanava 6-3, and Venus beat AS Tamarii Punaruu 3-0 to get off to a good start. On the first weekend, AS Tefana and AS Central Sport also won.
This weekend, the top two teams in the New Zealand Men’s National League, Auckland City FC and Birkenhead United FC, played a big game and tied 2-2. The OFC Champions League winners got a point thanks to late goals from Sam Brotherton and Emiliano Tade, even though their captain, Cam Howieson, was sent off.
After beating Cashmere Technical 3-0, Wellington Olympic AFC was only one point behind the team at the top. Auckland United FC is in fourth place and is still unbeaten after a 1-1 tie with Christchurch United. Napier City Rovers AFC and Miramar Rangers AFC and Wellington Phoenix Reserves and Melville AFC also tied.

Eastern Suburbs AFC and Western Springs AFC are still on top of the Women’s National League with a perfect record after game week five. Eastern Suburbs is still in first place because they have scored more goals than anyone else. However, Western Springs closed the gap by beating Central Football 5-1.
In other games, Northern Rovers FC beat Canterbury United Pride 4–1, and Capital Football and Auckland United FC tied 4–4.
In the Solomon Islands’ Solrais Women’s Premier League, Henderson Eels and Frigates United FC tied 1-1 in a battle for second and third place. Both teams fell further behind the league-leading Koloale FC, who beat West Honiara FC 10-1.
RSIPF Royals kept up with the teams behind them by beating Naha FC 4–0. Geniagu FC and Haura FC also won their games.
At the break in the middle of the Telekom S-League, the Solomon Warriors are in first place. With a 3-1 win over FC Isabel United, they were able to take first place.
They are ahead of second-place Henderson Eels FC only because they have scored more goals than Henderson Eels FC. They beat Honiara City FC 2-0.
Waneagu United moved closer to Kossa FC in third place by beating them 1-0.
Central Coast FC had a busy week because they are still trying to get back on track after their OFC Champions League 2022 campaign. After losing to Solomon Warriors by a score of 1-0, they beat Southern United 7-0, but then they lost again, this time to Real Kakamora FC by a score of 3-1.
In New Caledonia, Hienghène Sport celebrated winning the Coupe de Calédonie last week by beating AS Wetr by a score of 1-0. Tiga Sport, on the other hand, is still in the lead after beating AS Lossi 3-1.
AS Kunié, AS Magenta, and AS Mont-Dore all won, and SC Ne Drehu and Qanono Sports played to a scoreless draw.
